Our Principal.

Laurence St.Lyon is the Principal of Wisdom Solicitors.

He qualified as a General Civil and Commercial Litigator in Private Practice.

Always a Generalist he went In-House as Sole Company Solicitor for a large (500+ employee) Multi-million pound national company.

Having left the in house role he decided it was time to be Captain of his own ship and in December 2008 formed Wisdom Solicitors.

In addition to carrying out the traditional Solicitors role of advising, drafting documents and conducting litigation he also carries out trial advocacy and has appeared in courts throughout the UK from Middlesborough to Plymouth and Ashford to Exeter in addition to the High Court and its Registries.

Mr St.Lyon describes himself as a "litigator plus.." equally at home advising and drafting to avoid disputes as acting to settle them.

Following service in the RAF, then training as a Security Manager and working in the field of Civilian Security, he graduated LLB (Honours) from Brunel University  and completed his Postgraduate training at Thames Valley University. He has contemplated additional post-grad study but so far the fantasy is just that!

Married with 4 home schooled children he has been a Christian for 25 years.

He believes in working locally, nationally and Internationally for the common good.

He is a member of his local Baptist Church where he plays drums in contemporary worship, a Civilian Instructor with the Air Training Corps .)

He is a long term campaigner for Human Rights and Religious Freedom and supporter of SPUC, CSW & Barnabus Trust.

He is a member of The Lawyers Christian Fellowship.

He is recognised by members of other faiths as "a man of the book" entering into dialogue and debate with respect and appreciation whilst putting the Claims of Jesus Christ to all men with vigour.
